DigikamImagePlugins are a collection of plugins for digiKam 0.7.2 Image Editor. These plugins add new image treatment options like color management, filters, or special effects.

Currently implemented plugins are listed below:

• OilPaint: an oil painting effect filter (using Pieter Voloshyn algorithm).
• Emboss: an embossed image effect filter (using Pieter Voloshyn algorithm).
• Raindrops: adding the visual effect of raindrops to an image (using Pieter Voloshyn algorithm).
• Charcoal: a charcoal drawing image effect filter.
• FilmGrain: simulate film grain to an image.

The digiKam team is pleased to announce the new 0.7.2-beta1 release.

digiKam is a digital photo management application for KDE, which makes importing and organizing digital photos a "snap". The photos can be organized in albums which can be sorted chronologically, by directory layout or by custom collections. An easy to use interface is provided that enables you to connect to your camera and preview, download and/or delete your images.

• Image Editor: Add new 'copy' action to copy current selection to clipboard. You can paste this selection in other application like Kolorpaint, Gimp, Kword, etc...
• Image Editor: Undoing actions capability.
• Image Editor: Usability improvements of ratio-crop tool. Add 'Rule Third Lines' guides for to help users to compose a photograph.

Kipi (KDE Image Plugin Interface) is an effort to develop a common plugin structure for Digikam, KimDaBa, Showimg and Gwenview. Its aim is to share image plugins among graphic applications.
